The key to making the most of your investment lies in information: know what you’re facing, explore multiple options, understand the trade-offs and make informed decisions. That’s how RMC tackled the improvements to 40 buildings and 469 units in seven, 20-year-old properties owned by the Bellingham Housing Authority. A capital needs assessment included thorough site investigations and staff interviews and working with the general contractor in an integrated design process. RMC then generated a detailed work plan and helped with implementation logistics to complete interior upgrades, site and common area improvements, roof and façade repairs, with the tenants in place.
