Hope House Multi-Service Center is a collaborative effort between Catholic Community Services (CCS) and the Catholic parishes of Bellingham. The facility, located on the Assumption Catholic Church campus, provides basic needs items for struggling families and individuals in Whatcom County. Hope House provides clothing and household items, while the onsite Market is a “store” for hygiene and cleaning supplies, paper products, baby supplies, and emergency food bags free of charge.
The project originated when the need for these services outgrew the original “house.” The design for the new building aligns with the residential character of the neighborhood, with a brick base that ties to the distinctive red brick church campus just west of the building.
