Spring Street Landing transforms a key section of Friday Harbor’s waterfront experience, replacing a building that burned in 2013. Creating a gracious public gathering place along the waterfront, the two-level structure houses retail and restaurant tenants, anchoring a street-level plaza with beautiful harbor views and outdoor seating.

Below, an esplanade provides a public connection around the building, curving around the waterfront site. The plaza links to this scenic walkway through a sculptural stair while the landscape design between the plaza, esplanade, and revamped bulkhead helps unify all portions of the project. The 8,800-sf building meets the stringent requirements of the town’s Historic Preservation Review Board, blending with nearby downtown buildings and forming a new public asset for the Port of Friday Harbor.
