A Message from Neil McCarthy

Friends,

I’m excited to report that as of December 31, I will be wrapping up my architectural career. What an amazing 37 years I’ve had as a practicing architect — the last 12 as a principal at RMC. I feel so lucky to have landed in this community and had the chance to shape it in some small way over the years, alongside you.

So much of what we do depends on who we do it with. I am grateful to have spent time working with you to solve problems, explore possibilities and develop designs that work for all the people who connect with the buildings and spaces we built together. It’s been an honor and a pleasure.

Please know that topmost in my mind is ensuring that if your experience with RMC changes at all in the coming months and years, it is only for the better. Our leadership team has been working on this inevitable evolution for years. Principals Brad Cornwell and Jason Williard continue to lead the charge alongside Associates Lexie Costic and Robbie Wright, while Principal Emeritus Jeff McClure still fosters growth and relationships both within the firm and in our community.

I had important mentors early in my career. My experience inspired a commitment to guiding the development of the next generation as I became a senior architect.

This, more than any one project, might be the thing I’m most proud of: RMC Architects is filled with talented, committed, community-minded professionals who understand that design is only as strong as the relationships it springs from. You are in great hands.

Cheers!

Neil
