RMC Architects (RMC) is pleased to announce the elevation of Associates Lexie Costic AIA and Robert Wright AIA, LEED AP to the role of Principal. They will join Principals Brad Cornwell and Jason Williard in continuing RMC’s legacy of excellent, client-focused design.

Lexie Costic AIA joined RMC in 2016. In her new role as Principal, Lexie is dedicated to advancing RMC’s design philosophy through the ‘Front Porch Factor’—a vision that prioritizes humane interaction and the cultivation of vibrant public life, as well as connections to the larger community. She believes this is a foundational firm approach that differentiates RMC. Lexie will continue strengthening RMC’s Design-Build portfolio and aims to expand the firm’s reach on historic rehabilitation projects. She is also dedicated to operational leadership and mentorship. She continues to work with Robert, formalizing the firm’s mentorship program rooted in accountability and continuous learning to help the next generation of staff succeed. Some of her current projects include SWIFT Center Assembly Hall revitalization with the Port of Skagit; a new therapeutic center in north Bellingham; ongoing campus projects with Skagit Valley College, Whatcom Community College, and Bellingham Technical College; and renovation projects at Western Washington University.

Robert Wright AIA, LEED AP joined RMC in 2014. He has centered his practice on designing buildings that elevate people and strengthen communities—an approach that lies at the heart of RMC’s work. Robert has distinguished himself as both an accomplished architect and an empathetic designer who prioritizes the user experience in his multifamily housing work. To that end, Robert strongly believes that building multifamily housing that meets the missing middle is essential in creating inclusive, resilient communities. He is currently working on the Unity Street Redevelopment project with Bellingham Housing Authority, Millworks Phase Two for the Whatcom Community Foundation, and several renovation projects with the Port of Anacortes.
