Situated in the heart of the Barkley Financial District, the bank was designed to function as the hub for the company’s administrative services and their flagship retail branch. The architectural goal was to balance the traditionally inspired Barkley District design theme with dramatic, contemporary gestures that distinguish the bank and create visibility on the prominent corner location. Maximizing natural light with large glass elements and creating thermal comfort with a projecting roof and sunscreen louvers are examples of sustainable strategies that also create a pleasant work environment.
