We’re proud to announce the promotion of Jason Williard

RMC Architects is proud to announce a new milestone with the promotion of Jason Williard AIA, LEED AP to Principal. As we plan for a successful future, we recognize the importance of ushering in a new generation of leadership. To celebrate this monumental occasion, we gathered words and phrases from other RMC Principals that best describe Jason.

Tenacious
Jason is tenacious in the high standards he sets for his work and is respected by his colleagues, peers, and the RMC staff as a true leader.

Proactive
Jason arrived at RMC in 2006 bringing a wealth of large-firm knowledge on complex projects to the office. His ability to look ahead and find efficiencies in design and documentation has enabled us to extend beyond traditional approaches to our projects, creating greater success.

Engaging
Jason possesses that rare combination of determination and confidence. His collaborative ethic is coupled with good humor and personability.

Client Advocate
Put in his own words, “You must step up. RMC is very much a community-based architectural firm, and there’s an undercurrent of professionalism that goes along with that—especially when located in a smaller city. We are accountable to our clients every day. That is an essential requirement.”

Creative + Committed
A versatile, jack of all trades architect, Jason has worked on a variety of project types for RMC. He has navigated community design standards in Fairhaven on projects like the Rocket Building and South Bay Suites and remained nimble while juggling the regulations of historical and adaptive reuse projects like the Waples Mercantile/Inn at Lynden and the Northern State Hospital/SWIFT Center campus planning. Jason has implemented sustainable practices as often as possible on projects like Spring Street Landing in Friday Harbor, with the environmental cleanup of the site and the rebuilding of an iconic community asset and is currently working to reduce the carbon footprint of Bellingham Public Schools New District Offices with the use of cross-laminated timber (CLT) throughout the building.

We are thrilled to share this news with you! Through our passion, skill, and commitment we ensure that RMC’s work contributes to the lasting architectural character of the communities and markets we serve.
